Today, the National Park Circuit comes alive with the 6th Annual Diamond Mineral Water Cycle Programme organized by National Cycling Coach Hassan Mohammed.

This event holds one category for females; Girls 6 – 12 years. Other categories include Boys 6 – 9 years, 9 – 12 years, 12 – 14 years, veterans under and over 50 years, juveniles and Boys Open.

The programme will commence at 09:00h.

The distinct event for females is the BMX Girls 6 – 12 years (1 lap). The other scheduled events are: Boys 12 – 14 (3 Laps), Veterans under 50 (5 laps), Veterans over 50 (5 laps), Juveniles (10 Laps) and the Upright Cyclist race (5 laps).

The BMX Boys events are for the following age groups: 6 – 9 (2 laps), 9 – 12 (3 laps) and 12 -14 years (3 laps).

Completing the 11 events is the feature race which is the School Boys and Novices 35 lap race.

Christopher Holder in 2007 won the School Boys & Novices race with a time of one hour 30 minutes and 37.05 seconds.

“I am in top form and looking forward to this race as it will help me as I prepare for my race in Trinidad and Tobago.”

The 15 year old is scheduled to leave for Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday for the race the following weekend.

The 6th Annual programme is proudly sponsored by the liquid that is the Choice of Champions; ‘Diamond Mineral Water’.

Prizes will be presented to winning participants by Marketing Representative Ms. Alexis Crawford at the end of this event.
