Rain washes out first day’s play

Rain had the final say on the first day of the second three-day trial match organized by the junior selectors of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) at the Police Sports Club ground, Eve Leary, yesterday.

The trials are being used by the selectors to choose the team that will represent Guyana at the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) 2008 TCL Under-19 competition  scheduled to be held later this year.

Today is the second day and both the selectors and the players, will be hoping for some good weather in order for play to get underway.

The action is scheduled to begin at 10:00hrs, weather permitting. (CR)
