Rain prevents play in UDFA competition

Once again, heavy rain which left the Mackenzie Sports Club ground in an unplayable condition in some areas, prevented any play in the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) Banks DIH Coca-Cola sponsored first division competition on Sunday.

The organizers were in the same dilemma last Wednesday when heavy rains prevented any play in their second round fixtures.

In the matches that were slated for that day, Amelia’s Ward United were down to oppose Netrockers from 6pm whilst Milerock and winners Connections were to do battle in the feature game from 8pm and according to the secretary of the UDFA Rawle Blair, all rain-affected matches will be replayed at a later date……
