The Benschop Foundation continues to donate sporting gear to clubs in need and last Wednesday, a newly formed club in the La Penitence area, received some $200,000 worth of equipment.

The donation was made by Mark Benschop, Director of the Benschop Foundation on behalf of overseas-based Guyanese Robin Williams, consisted of a quantity of cricket and football gears.

The new club which is yet to be named has a membership of 21.
“Mr. Williams would like to make this generous donation to you on behalf of his father, George Benjamin Williams and is intended to help keep the youths in the area off the streets,” Benschop said.

“Donations like these can also take youths into a decent direction and also onto a career path,” Benschop added.

He promised that more donations would be forthcoming to the club in the not too distant future and charged members to cherish the little they had.
