The Guyana Football Federation (GFF)has announced that it have delegated the managing and promoting responsibilities of Guyana’s second round World Cup qualifying match against Suriname at the Guyana National Stadium Providence, to the Kashif and Shanghai (K&S) Organization and Tagman Inc.

Colin KlassGFF President Colin Klass told Stabroek Sport:“Many times when there is a full stadium, people tend to ask the question where did all the money from the event go,” he said.

“We have decided to give the responsibility of coordinating the event to the Kashif and Shanghai organization and to Mr. Alex Graham of Tagman Inc,” he added.

He added:“This is not something new, it may be new to Guyana, but this is something that is done in many other of the football nations throughout the region like Trinidad and Jamaica.”

Klass and GFF Public Relations Officer Frederick Granger also informed the media that Tagman Inc will be responsible for  promoting  the event along with the National Communications Network (NCN) who will be doing television ads and other publications including a subsequent airing of the match.
This follows a sponsorship agreement that the GFF signed with NCN earlier this year valued at about 15 million.

The GFF president also mentioned that the promotion of the event has been affected by the late approval of the National Stadium.

According to the GFF, tasks such as parking, seating patrons, security and entry into the venue are some of the responsibilities that will be coordinated by the K&S Organization.
