Food For The Poor to give Demerara clubs over $1m in cricket gear

Food For The Poor (Guyana) Inc. will today present a quantity of cricket gears to a number of cricket clubs on the East Bank of Demerara.

The presentation will be done at the organisation’s office and clubs from the Eccles, Soesdyke, Herstelling and Providence areas will receive cricket equipment valued at approximately one million, nine hundred and fifty thousand dollars.

Among the equipment expected to be handed over are bats, balls, wicket-keeping and batting pads, stumps and helmets.

The presentation takes place at 10am.
