With the postponement of the Annual Greensome Fundraising Golf tournament tomorrow due to the current inclement weather, golfers will compete in a specially arranged Club tournament today.
The tournament will be held at the Lusignan Golf Course. Tee off time is 12.30pm.
Today’s tournament will be played under the Stable ford format with approximately 20 players expected to compete.

Mel Sankies, Lusignan Golf Club President, disclosed that the current weather pattern has had its toll on the course and has left some sections of it soggy forcing the club to postpone the Greensome Tournament and Bar-B-Que.
According to Sankies, the Greensome tournament is tentatively set for August 17 and tickets already purchased will be valid for the new date.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the Annual Guyana Open to be held during the first weekend in November.

It is expected that a large contingent of amateur golfers from United States, Canada, Suriname and the English-speaking Caribbean will compete.
