Dinanauth “Dave” Sharma was elected President of Neal and Massy Sports Club at its Annual General Meeting held last Friday at Neal and Massy Sports and Training Complex at Ruimveldt.
The Vice President (Administration) is Bhagmattie “Nandy” Persaud while Imran Boodham will serve as Vice President (Finance). Fazeika Singh is the new Secretary with Anierood Singh holding the post of Treasurer and Harryram Tiwarie (assistant secretary treasurer). Rodnew McDonald was returned unopposed as Sports Coordinator while the Committee members are Yolanda Haley, Gerald Fowler and Jerry Randolph.
The auditor is Dhaniram Deodat.
Deo Persaud, Chief Executive Officer of Neal and Massy Guyana Group challenged the new executive committee to possess energy and passion during their turn of office to effectively fulfill their mandate.
He said the Sports Facility has now been upgraded and will facilitate training programmes and meeting since the Training Centre at Demerara Oxygen Company (DOCOL) Head office at Eccles is unable to accommodate large training programmes.
The Neal and Massy Group are celebrating its 40th Anniversary in Guyana and Persaud said that several activities have been planned for the occasion including the Group’s participation in the upcoming Carifesta X celebrations.
The Group CEO called on employees to make full use of the Sports and Training Complex declaring that it is one of the best equipped sports facility locally.
