Santos FC crumbled to a 0-2 defeat in the feature match of the double header which included Pele and Uprising FC clashing in the curtain raiser.

Elton Abrahams drew first blood for Alpha United, currently seeded at third on the leader table with 18 points, when he intercepted a ball that was not effectively cleared from the opposition’s goal.

Abrahams, just from outside the 18-yard box, blasted one past the goalkeeper to score in the first half.

Goal two was scored by a fantastic Elton Browne header after he received a terrific cross from Abrahams who delivered from near the right corner in the 77th minute.

Santos Football Club remains at the bottom half of the leader board with four points in the League.

Freeman Fordyce made it two-in-two for himself after he scored the lone goal for Uprising against Pele in the third minute of Sunday evening’s curtain raiser. Previously, Fordyce scored a goal for Uprising when they lost 1–4 against the Guyana Defence Force.

Not long after Quincy Hemmodin found the equalizer for Pele in the 14th minute to conclude the first 45 minutes 1–1. When play resumed, neither team penetrated the opponent’s defence before the regulation time whistle.
