The final two quarter-final matches in the rain-interrupted Neal and Massy Inter-Company 25-overs-a-side tapeball cricket competition will be played off today at the Guyana Softball Cricket Association ground on Carifesta Avenue.

In the first match, surprise quarterfinalists Geddes Grant ‘B’ will clash with Neal and Massy Essequibo at 10:00 hours.

The Geddes Grant line up will include captain Vinood Roopnarine, Kelvin Singh, Imtiaz Pooran, Navin Tajeshwar, Jason De Florimonte and Richard Govinda while the Essequibo side will feature Balchand Shivambar (captain), Kennard Byrne, Munesh Boodram, Abdool Khan, Devindra  Persaud, Gobin  Seuvattan and Tony Chan.

The other fixture of the day will bring together Demerara Oxygen Company (DOCOL) and Neal and Massy Berbice starting at 13:00 hours.

The DOCOL side will feature Jermaine Moe, Ray Ishmael, Dave Sharma, Chris Shaw and Richard Chinnan, while Berbice’ challenge will be led by Patrick Beharry, Nizam Hoosain, Albert Budhoo, Bruce Wayne, David Leung-A-Wa and Seecomar Khemraj.

The two semi-finals will be played next weekend at the same venue with five-time defending champions AIMLIM/NMSL facing the winners of the DOCOL/NM Berbice clash in the first encounter at 10:00 hours.

The second semi will be a battle between NM Security Solutions and the winner of the Geddes Grant/Essequibo showdown. The final is set for September 20 with the venue likely to be at Thirst Park under lights.
