Moseley to conduct fast bowling clinic here

Former Barbados and West Indies right arm fast medium bowler Ezra Moseley is due in Guyana later this month to conduct a fast bowling clinic organized by the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) in conjunction with the Reds Perreira Sports Foundation (RPSF).

The clinic will take place from September 23-25 with Georgetown Cricket Club ground, Bourda identified as the venue.

Malcolm Peters, Vice President of the GCB disclosed that 15 of Guyana’s promising players drawn from around the country have been invited to take part in the clinic including three female players who recently participated at the West Indies women’s championship.

Peters added that former Guyana and West Indies fast bowler Reon King is expected to assist in the programme.

Founder of the RPSF Joseph “Reds” Perreira disclosed that local furniture giants Courts, has consented to be one the the sponsors of the clinic which is aimed at developing cricket in Guyana.

Moseley, a former regional pacer and pugnacious lower order batsman is currently a coach and junior selector in Barbados.

He played two tests and nine one day Internationals for the West Indies from  1990-1991 making his test debut against England and his ODI start against Australia both in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

Moseley also played for English County side Glamorgan and had a short stint in South Africa.
