Khan wins Roti Hut-sponsored golf tourney

Imran Khan has returned to winners’ row in capturing last Saturday’s second annual Roti Hut-sponsored Medal Play tournament at the Lusignan golf course.

In ideal conditions for golf, Khan playing off a handicap 6 recorded a gross 72 to finish with a net 66 to score yet another win this season. His gross score of 72 was the best in the tournament.

Second position went to Lusignan Golf Club President Mel Sankies who recorded a gross score of 96 to end with a net of 68 playing off a 28 handicap.

Colin Ming was third with a gross 70, net 70 playing off a 10 handicap while Club Secretary Ronald Bulkan was nearest to the pin.

The best female player on show was reigning national champion Christine Sukhram who recorded a gross 79 to end with a net 72 playing off a 7 handicap.

The presentation of prizes was made by Roti Hut Supervisor Azeem Das.

Club captain Jerome Khan thanked the sponsors for their contribution.
