- Bramble, Chandrika and Ravi Sarwan included

Although the host country for this year’s Regional Limited Overs tournament has not been named by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), the six territorial boards have gone ahead and named their squads in preparation for the match.

Recently, the senior selection panel of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) met and short-listed a 22-man squad for possible selection on the 14-man squad for the Regional tournament, and has sprung a surprise with the inclusion of national under-19 wicket keeper batsman Anthony Bramble, former national under-19 opener Rajendra Chandrika and former national under-15 batsman Ravi Sarwan. Also included in the squad are Guyana’s four Stanford Superstars in West Indies middle order batsman and International Cricket Council Cricketer-of-the-Year, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, West Indies vice captain Ramnaresh Sarwan along with Travis Dowlin and all rounder Lennox Cush. Regional wicket taking record holder and former West Indies right arm leg spinner Mahendra Nagamootoo along with Guyana /Stanford Twenty20 stars in Dion Ferrier and Orin Forde have also been given a chance to impress the selectors with their inclusion.

The 22-man squad reads: Narsingh Deonarine, Sewnarine Chattergoon, Assad Fudadin, Gajanand Singh, Leon Johnson, Orin Forde, Dion Ferrier, Ravi Sarwan, Veerasammy Permaul, Mahendra Nagamootoo, Darwin Christian, Royston Crandon, Esaun Crandon, Trevon Garraway, Brendon Bess, Anthony Bramble, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Travis Dowlin, Lennox Cush, Rajendra Chandrika and Christopher Barnwell.
