The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport/National Sports Commission will run off its first Day of Interaction for the year today.

The event, which is being run under the theme “Sport for Healthy Lifestyle, Education and Peace,” will take place at the Mahaicony Community Centre, East Coast Demerara and commences at 10am.

The day’s activities will include softball cricket, dominoes, football, circle tennis, volleyball, chess, cycling, and table tennis.

Following the opening ceremony, there will be a march past of athletes and officials and brief remarks from regional representatives, political parties, representatives of UNICEF and PAHO and the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Dr. Frank Anthony.

There will be an aggressive HIV/AIDS awareness programme in a specified area .
