Anthony Downes turned in a superb performance to beat Jermey Miller in the finals of the boys 18 and under title when the Le Meridien open lawn tennis championship continued at the hotel’s courts on Tuesday.

Downes, who won the game without dropping a set coasted to victory scoring 6-2, 6-3.

He is now looking at capturing the blue ribbon of local tennis which is the men’s open singles crown but in order to reach that feat he will have to play another youngster in the semi-finals, Ezra Sue Ho.

Sue Ho through perfect sets defeated his father Rawle 6-0, 6-0 to move into the semi finals to play Anthony Downes.
