GCB selectors call up 28 for trial matches

The selection committee of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) has called up 28 players to prepare for the upcoming regional one-day tournament which will take place from November 13-23.

The players will be involved in three practice matches on Tuesday at the Everest Cricket Club ground, Wednesday at the Police Sports Club ground, Eve Leary and Thursday at the DCC ground in Queenstown following which the team to compete in the tournament will be announced.

The squad includes Travis Dowlin and Lennox Cush who were members of the Stanford Superstars squad which defeated England on Saturday to win US$20.

The players named are: Rajendra Chandrika, Christopher Barnwell, Narsingh Deonarine, Gajanand Singh, Assad Fudadin, Royston Crandon, Derwin Christian, Paul Wintz,  Mahendra Nagamootoo, Ryan Hercules, Zaheer Mohamed, Keon Joseph, Orin Forde, Lennox Cush, Ryan Ramdass, Maxie DeJonge, Shemroy Barrington,  Steven Jacobs, Vishal Singh, Devon Clements, Delbert Hicks, Deon Ferrier, Esaun Crandon, Veerasammy Permaul, Brandon Bess, Trevon Garraway, Sauid Drepaul, Travis Dowlin.
