Daly-Ramdyhan lost the first set 2-6 to Carol Humphrey, but stormed back to take the other two 6-3, 7-5 to not only clinch the title, but repeat as champion of the tournament.

In the male final which followed the ladies match, Squires was pushed to the limit by Ezra Sue Ho who fought hard to claim the first set 6-7 (11-9). But being the true champion he is, Squires outsmarted his Sue Ho by slowing down the game, before taking the second and third sets 6-2, 6-3 to lift the title.

The various prizes won during the staging of the championships, were presented to the winners by management of the Le Meridien Hotel.
