Perhaps the most exciting event was the girls’ 9-10 years 400m freestyle event where the previous record held by Asanti Mickle  was broken by   the top three finishers of the race.

Record Breakers! Britany Van Lange, Soroya Simmons and Athena Gaskin.

The record now belongs to Britany Van Lange who finished first while second and third place went to Soroya Simmons and Athena Gaskin.

Guyana’s Olympian Nial Roberts also produced some breathtaking swims winning all of his events on the day while national swimmer Jamaal Sobers also performed well.

The event will culminate today and based on yesterday’s performances by the contestants, things could only be better.
