The 19th annual Kashif and Shanghai tournament yesterday received support from Sterling Optical of Washington DC through the company’s proprietor Eddie Hilliman.

At a simple ceremony held at the office of the Kashif and Shanghai Organization, Hilliman handed over the tournament’s lien trophy and US$300 to Kashif Muhammad.

According to Hilliman,  he was more than delighted to be part of this year’s event and was looking forward to playing a part in the event in years to come.

In accepting the donation, Muhammad thanked Hilliman and mentioned that he was looking forward to working with the US-based businessman in the years to come.

The Kashif and Shanghai tournament will kick off on December 14 in Linden and will conclude with the final which is set for January 1, 2009 at the National Stadium Providence.
