Narayan Ramdhani reaches three finals

Guyana’s Narayan Ramdhani continued to impress by remaining in contention for three individual titles at the Suriname Junior International Championships which is being contested by Suriname, Trinidad, Guyana and Aruba.
In the boys U11 singles competition Ramdhani defeated J. del Prado of Suriname 21-17, 21-12 to nook his place in the final.

However, Guyana’s Armand Ramdhani lost to R.Phoelli of Suriname 5-21, 15-21 in a quarter-final clash.

Ramdhani also teamed up with Del Prado to defeat the Suriname pair of S.Djabar and R. Phoelli 21-10, 21-17 in a boys’ U11 doubles semi-final encounter.

He then teamed up with sister Priyanna to defeat Djabar and S. Ramandanlall in the U11 mixed doubles semi-final.
Priyanna Ramdhani lost to Suriname’s L. Ceder 10-21, 12-21 in the girls’ U11 singles semi-final.

In the U13 boys’ singles semi-finals Narayan Ramdhani (GUY) defeated B. Heath (TRI): 21-7, 21-12 but Andrew Peroune (GUY) lost to S.Opti (SUR): 5-21, 12-21.

In the U13 girls’ singles semi-finals Priyanna Ramdhani (GUY) lost to Kristo Singh (TRI): 21-9, 21-14.

In the U13 boys’ doubles semi-final Narayan Ramdhani/Andrew Peroune (GUY) defeated B. Nannan Panday/R. Nannan Panday (SUR): 21-15, 21-13.

In the U17 boys singles quarter-final Nicholas Ali (GUY) defeated O.Martodikromo (SUR): 21-14, 14-21, 21-16 while Avian Rodrigues (GUY) defeated M.Marquis (SUR): 21-11, 21-13.

In the U17 boys’ singles semi-finals, Ali (GUY) lost to I. Djabar (SUR): 10-21, 11-21 while Avian Rodrigues (GUY) lost to D.Darmohoetomo (SUR): 11-21, 9-21.

The tournament concluded yesterday.
