After a two-week break following the Ministry of Health (MOH)/ Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport (MCYS) organized National AIDS Programme Secretariat (NAPS) sponsored Riding for Life 2, cyclists will be back in action this Friday night when national cycling coach Hassan Mohammed wheels off a 16-card programme at the Everest Cricket Club ground. Action in this event will get underway from 6:00pm. This programme which was first scheduled for October 31 is being sponsored by Geddes Grant (Guyana) Limited under its Cadbury chocolate brand of products. According to a press release, 16 events are carded for the night with two main events being the Devil Takes the Hindmost and the 30 laps open race for all cyclists. And for the first time, there will be an Open Devil Takes the Hindmost for all BMX boys and girls cyclists. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cadbury Roy Prashad and other representatives will be on hand to assist with the presentation of prizes to the winning participants. All cyclists interested in competing in the night’s events are asked to be registered at 5:00pm Friday.
