Stevedore Scheme, Globe Yard battle to 1-1 draw

East Ruimveldt Basketball Court hosted another night of exciting matches in the Guinness “Greatest in de Street” four-a-side football tournament Tuesday evening.

Stevedore Scheme and Globe Yard battled to a 1-1 draw with Mark Scott scoring for Globe Yard and K. Bobb netted for Stevedore Scheme while West Front Road, led by a double from Michael Oie and one goal from Keron Cameron, brushed aside Aubrey Barker Road 3-1. Lloyd Barrow netted the consolation goal for Aubrey Barker Road.

Fourth Street Alberttown needled Leopold Street with Devon Smith hammering in the lone goal of the match.

Festival City scored a 2-1 win over North East La Penitence with Daniel Favourite netting a double for the winners while Cleyon Forester scored for North East.

Holmes Street, Tiger Bay were 1-0 winners over Durban Street with Paul Bobb scoring the game’s lone goal.
Sophia nipped past Kingston 2-1 led by goals from Shemroy Arthur and Akeel Jaikissoon, while Nigel Denny scored for Kinsgton.  

Alexander Village and Charles Street played to a 1-1 draw. Sheldon Gurrick scored for Alexander Village while Sherwin Jacobs netted for Charles Street. 

In the final result Broad Street ‘B’  and Alexander Street played to a 1-1 draw. Tyram Small scored for Broad Street, while Manu Lewis scored for Alexander Street.

Eight more matches were scheduled for last evening at Albouystown Basketball Court, while the action will switch to the National Culture Centre tarmac on Saturday evening with eight more games starting at 18:00 hours.
