LABA calls emergency meetings with affiliated clubs

The Linden Amateur Basketball Association (LABA) will hold an emergency meeting with affiliated club members tomorrow at the Mackenzie Sports Club.

According to LABA secretary, Joe Chapman, the meeting which will start at 2pm, is to deal with the recent setback of the present senior club championship.

LABA and local beverage giants Banks DIH Limited clashed a few weeks ago after the beverage company denied confirming sponsoring the present senior league contrary to LABA president Uburn Smith’s contention.

Clubs are asked to send four representatives to the meeting preferably the president, secretary and coach along with any other member.

LABA has also disclosed that this weekend’s matches have been postponed.
