This is the stuff that future champions are made of! It is indeed a blessing and a talent that one is born with. This talent has to be nurtured and developed. I cannot help but reflect on all of the problems faced by sporting organisations and associations in Guyana today. What is Guyana going to do to nurture such talent? It is time that all Guyanese wake-up and get going…. Do not let this dream become another pipe-dream!! His eyes show the determination that will win championships. Reminds me of the first time I saw Chanderpaul as a little slugger with his wallaba bat, the determination was there, see where it (determination) got him?

This is good news to read coming from this paper, everyday u read alot of drama.Daniel benjamin i thank you along with your parents n everyone who as worked with you so much for this and congrads.I know there will be a time when you will make guyana proud as yourself.i hope other young and even the older ones(like myself) will take a page out of you book,keep it up

There is though one error of fact in the article which i would like to bring to the attention of the writer. Usain Bolt won three (3) gold medals with three (3) world records at the Beijing Olympics.

Well done to you Daniel Benjamin I will share something with I leant about your age ” The heights that great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight but they while there companions slept were upwards toiling thought the night” this I learnt form Primary school head teacher at about your age .I hope you achieve all your dreams keep working hard.
