On Tuesday evening Globe Yard, East Front Road, Tiger Bay Hope Street and Albouystown made their way into the semi-finals after defeating Alexander Village, East La Penitence, Leopold Street and North Last Entrance respectively.

An exhibition match between the Guinness Bar and Oasis Water teams (not in competition) was also played with Oasis Water coming out victorious by a one-goal margin as GB could not get a ball between the uprights.

Globe Yard and East Front Road are to meet in one of the semis while Tiger Bay Hope Street will meet Albouystown in the other semi.

In match one Globe Yard got past Alexander Village 4 – 2 with doubles from GY’s Sherwayne Grimes (32nd and 44th mins) and Earl Peters (33rd and 42nd mins) that proved too much for the goals Quincy Bourne and Sheldon Gourick scored in the 8th and 11th minutes respectively.

Match two saw East Front Road demolishing East La Penitence 4 – 1 to make their way into the semis. Seon McKenzie in the fifth, Andy Duke in the seventh, Christopher Williams in the 13th and Shaka Jones the 14th was enough to outclass Devon Allen’s double (10th and 16th mins) recorded for East La Penitence.

Tiger Bay tore through Leopold Street 3 – 0 with a double from the well composed Shawn Bishop who scored in the sixth and 12th  minutes and he received support from Solomon Austin who was successful in the ninth minute.

In the North LE/Albouystown encounter one goal was enough to get Albouystown into the semis.  Renaulth Fraser scored in the second minute of extra time (32nd min).

The semi-finals will kick off tonight on the National Park tarmac at 9:00pm.
