“It’s no doubt that we will come out victorious on Sunday,” says  Bobby Cadogan, coach of the Courts Pacesetters team, as they prepare to take on their nemesis Dyna’s Ravens in a winner-take- all grudge match this Sunday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

The last time the two sides met, the game wasn’t  concluded but this time around the national player turn coach is resolute in stating that his charges will make sure they come out victorious.

“It’s never questionable whenever these two teams meet that a big showdown is expected. Both teams are working hard this year and all the respective players are presently active in the Georgetown Amateur Basketball League (GABA).  I still feel that we will pull off a victory,” said the Pacesetters coach.

In the GABA league, Ravens remain undefeated as compared to Pacesetters who have lost one game so far this season, but this must not be taken into consideration, says Cadogan.

“The two sides have not played so far in the present GABA first division league which will make things more interesting and we see it as a motivation factor since they are undefeated. It means that they will be coming out harder than normal to maintain their unbeaten run, as such we are looking to end their run so it’s going to be a good show,”  Cadogan declared.

Whoever wins the feature event of the night will  have $100,000 and a trophy. And prior to the game, there will be the Miss Accomplished Entertainment Fashion show and a Linden/Georgetown female match.

Also for the first time, there will be a 20/20 basketball competition. This  will be played by two person at opposite ends of the court and the first to reach 20 points by scoring six three points and a two points will be declared the winner. That lucky player will take home a trophy and a gift voucher.

The inaugural event is being sponsored by the Accomplished Entertainment Group, and their idea is to bring the best of both worlds to the Guyanese public.
