Four masked men on Sunday night attacked and robbed a Corentyne fish vendor and her relatives of a quantity of cash and jewellery before making good their escape.

Police in a statement yesterday said that around 19:00 hrs, fish vendor Chandradai Budhu of Number 54 Village, Corentyne was at the lower flat of the house with a door open when the men entered and held the family at gunpoint.
The men then took away $23,000, a cell phone and jewellery valued at $440,000 and escaped.
According to police investigations, the four men wore masks and were all armed with handguns. Investigations are continuing.
