Magistrate Chandra Sohan remanded a 34-year-old cane-harvester of Number 2 Settlement, Blairmont to prison when he appeared before him at the Fort Wellington Court on Thursday to answer a charge of indecent assault.
Reports are that on May 27 at Blairmont, West Bank Berbice, Rasheed Rampersaud indecently assaulted a female.
The court heard too that he had been charged in a related matter for abduction.
He pleaded not guilty to the offence and was remanded to prison until June 2 when the matter comes up again at the Blairmont Court.
