This kind of strong positive force displayed by the DPP is what Guyana and the world at large needs. I am so proud to see someone stand and speak out on ways to eradicate issues that effect many everyday. Solving problems like these is like putting the pieces of a puzzle together.Eventually with this kind of forward move, fireworks will light the skies.These are the kinds of steps that are needed to climb to the summit of this so called civilization. Everyone and I mean everyone needs to support these kinds of efforts and only then can its effectiveness be materialized. With a potent foundation, criminals shall reflect upon the punishment that will be brought down upon them and think again before snatching from others that which does not belong to them. If altogether, a flock of sheep can intimidate a wolf and not let any be devoured, then starvation and death will come unto the wolves. If anyone can contribute in any way to help these issues progress positively, step forward and reveal your powers because everyone might be thinking someone else will do it. You go DPP and others will follow!!!

Such a good move has no regrets except that it could have been instituted earlier.
Nevertheless,this elimination can only lead to better revelation of sexual assaults since most of the victims from initial stages refrain from reporting with the fear of humiliation in summation.
This move of scrapping should be made known to every strata of society since the openeness established now along with the provisions in “Stamp It Out” will go a far way in assisting this old but well hidden phobia of incest and sexual assault in our society.

I support the DPP in this regard.
I call on the police to act professionally in the execution of their duties as protector of the people and enforcers of the law. It is your duty to protect the citizenry whether it is convenient or not. Staying out of “husband and wife story” is not an option!
I also call on the legislature and the judiciary to bring our laws up to par so that they not only reflect current trends, but that they adequately protect our women and children. and bring rapist, pedophiles and other sexual deviants to justice. The time is now!
