Can't they come up with a security proposal to put to the government? Something definitely needs to be done to help miners because they're particulary vulnerable due to their isolation in the jungle. If you want someone to utilise your land for a particular use you will be the one to make that choice. Similar with Amerindian lands. They belong to the Amerindian people.
