Floyd Savory of 58 Robb Street, Bourda, Georgetown pleaded not guilty to the charge of simple larceny when he appeared at the George-town Magistrate’s Court. It is alleged that between February 10 and 18, Savory stole a quantity of furniture and household electronics worth $392,000, the property of Latecia Luther, his aunt.

Luther told the court that she and Savory’s mother are sisters and that she had left her belongings at the woman’s house because of certain circumstances. Luther told the court that currently her sister is overseas and that Savory had been living at the house where the items were being kept. According to Luther, the man sold the items.

“My aunt lying,” Savory told the court. He said that the items were stored in the bottom flat of the house and he only had keys for the top storey where he lived.

However, the prosecution said that the man had keys for both storeys of the house.
Savory was ordered to appear at Court Two on August 25.
