Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton refused bail to a man, who allegedly robbed another of a gold chain at gunpoint, when he appeared before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Joel Davids, 27, of 6A Water Street, Georgetown was not required to plead to the indictable charge of robbery under arms.

It is alleged that on July 12 in Georgetown the accused while being armed with a gun robbed Sherwin Rodney of a gold chain valued $40,000.

Davids was remanded to prison and the matter is to continue on August 7.
