That’s what wrong with present day Guyana.
The current regime behaves as if the opposition is running things and bungling up every step of the way. They refuse to take blame for their mis-management and visionless politics. They are more concerned with invoking ghosts of the past to scare the masses into siding with them.
However, as we fully well know nothing will change for the better with this regime’s divisive and inept behaviour. It’s business as usual…

Yesterday has gone, today is yet to come, let us focus what is there for tomorrow. Burnham, Cheddi have all gone therefore, those who are there in the leading Positions have to take control of things.
Mr Jagdeo is the President and therefore, whatever crisis is facing the country and the people he has no one else to blame but he Mr Jagdeo and his party the PPP.

Two massacres followed by another at a mining camp, a headless man, Rape, etc. and and the Government has chosen to celebrate Carifesta X. Nothing wrong, but what happened when people were crying out for help to control the crime spree in the country. What action was taken then? Now the best security system has been put in Place for Carifesta X
Mr Corbin is perfectly right about the decision the PNCR has taken towards the Carifesta X. For those who say so many ill things about Burnham – Burnham had vision and Carifesta was his brainchild.

Getting personal with Dorian because you read something about him in the newspapers does not change the face that the PPP government is what it is! What about the GY$11M the Home Affairs Ministry got in 2003 to buy ammunitions and guns and when the Auditor General went to check, neither item was found? Where are the items? Where is the money?

The PPP government under Jagdeo has emerged neck and neck with the PNC government of the past when it comes to lack of transparency, accountability and respect for the people. And discrimination comes in many forms! Didn’t government discriminate against other hoteliers when it selectively loaned Buddy’s 168 million dollars in a secret deal that saw Buddy’s ending up selling his hotel one year later for a tidy profit?

bgsbny- nowhere in my comment did I defend anybody. If the PNC did wrong lets deal with it; but don’t use it as an excuse to condone PPP’s own wrongdoing. The Jews didn’t go around rounding up scores of Germans and gasing them, instead they systematically built cases against nazi officials and brought them to justice. All while quietly gaining the sympathy of the world and building their own empire.

The people of Guyana need to hold all officials accountable- PPP, PNC, etc. They need to stop thinking someday dey gon “fly out” and realize dey destiny is right dey in dem 3 counties and dey should dig in and change things fuh better. Last time I check Rome bunin banna!
