Digicel said it has demonstrated its commitment to the preservation of Caribbean culture by contributing over $12,000,000 to the Carifesta X committee.
A press release quotes CEO Gregory Dean as saying he welcomes Carifesta X as it offers the Caribbean community an ideal opportunity to unite and showcase its diverse heritage and strong talents. He added that “men and women of the Caribbean have unique traditions, culture and skills and Digicel is looking forward to all of this being showcased throughout Carifesta X.”

Meanwhile, Digicel Guyana Head of Marketing Donovan White said the company is giving its customers many opportunities to win cash, stylish headsets and VIP tickets for the Digicel Red Hot Summer Scorcher. The promotion started on Saturday at the Grand Market where customers had been given a chance to win up to $1,000,000 in the treasure chest promotion. Digicel said customers can also text CARIFESTA to 1441 for a chance to win a handset throughout the festival.
