Commander of `A’ Division Welton Trotz this afternoon said that two of the country’s most wanted men, Rondell `Fineman’ Rawlins and Jermaine `Skinny’ Charles were shot and killed by members of the joint services on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway.

Asked how the positive identifications were made, he said that they knew the men from their general appearance.

“We know them. They can’t hide”, he told this newspaper.

The men, who were reportedly part of a gang, were fatally wounded during a confrontation with the law enforcement ranks which began late Wednesday night, in a bushy area behind the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri. During that first confrontation, Shawn Grant, 31 of Eccles, East Bank Demerara was killed and a soldier was injured.

  6. Good updates Stabroek. I saw it on online TV out of Guyana too. After the Christmas Falls incident I was confident that Fineman’s days were numbered – http://www.guyanatabloid.com. For the Security Forces to pursue him at Christmas Falls, they had to be following intelligence. Who is Shawn Grant, a bystander or so? Video on http://www.gtrl.tv and Sharma’s Site http://www.cns6.tv – Made possible by CNS 6 TV.
