The Minister of Amerindian Affairs, the President and the Prime Minister, should concretely demonstrate their committment to the nation's first people, by addressing their electricity needs, particularly the community, which just lost three of its young members, due largely, to government negligence and mismanagement.

The life and livelihood of our Indigenous Peoples

Solemnity to humanity

Just look at them, there they stand,
with their blunted tools in their hands.
Broad and thin shoulders, furious faces and what,
old torn pants and shirts, bare feet and floppy hats.

They used their tools and started to work,
“chop-chop” the bushes, working as the bush buck.
Toiling all days, in clearing and planting lands,
when finished, they left with filthy hands.

Heaping the branches and woods, to make their bundles,
running around and along but Oh! down they tumbled.
Spoiled their faces and grinding their teeth,
crawling and tossing in that blazing heat

The firefly sun peeps across the horizon,
dashing its’ vibrant rays in different direction.
With soaked skin, clothes wet and bare feet,
roaming, and hunting the forests for meat to eat.

“We are weary”, they never said,
as they toiled for their daily bread.
Stand a moment to take some breath,
with scorched skin and clothes wet.

They do not care, as they have to bare,
for their little food to find and to share.
In their society and beloved country,
where they are integrating in one harmony.
(8)

Whether sun or rain, they are going forward,
with small canoes to sail, in rough seas upward.
Transporting their cargoes to the market place,
for cash, ration and clothes to be purchased

Some trail the dense forests, through lonely tracks,
with bundles on their shoulders, sore and weary backs.
Faced most times, with reptiles, snakes or other preys,
only to their defense, is to seek God in silent prayers.

To feed, clothes and house themselves, are priorities,
with unity, love and moral dignity as one tribal family.
With sore hands and feet, they are displaying efficiency
in their country, society only to achieve prosperity

They are the first and the original inhabitants
claimed to be discovered by European tyrants.
	Exploited, manipulated and suppressed,
caused them to live with such great distress.

They are humans, like we ourselves to see,
as God created image and living souls to be.
Taking life easily, as it comes naturally,
with God on their side, who inspired sacredly.

They are known to be, the “emblem of survival”,
with their daily tasks, although life is so brutal.
As feathered-serpent, they worked their territory,
without any borders, they seemed to be so happy.

No electricity, or water supply, they are so healthy,
feeding on natural resources, are more of a quality.
Splashed into the lakes, for fresh and healthy fishes,
with other ingredients, they fed on healthy dishes

Why can’t us emulate and assist these hard workers,
whom are making life better for themselves and others.
Displaying themselves, as tribal sisters and brothers,
dancing around, praising God in heir traditional cultures.

(9)

For us to eliminate and to alleviate poverty,
we have to display such love and affection to humanity
For this is the one and only way, we can achieve victory,
like these natives, committed to moral sovereignty.

As one people, one nation and one destiny,
they all have dignity, as to one consistency.
of moral, social and cultural obligation.
as fellow humans they attained such motion.

No war tanks, ships or aircrafts in their atmosphere,
to disturb their peaceful life around their hemisphere.
We would invade their territory, for wealth to seek,
causing them great disaster, without humble meek.

They chose not to live like us, in golden concrete cities,
their trashed roofs and tree barks, are much simplicities.
In their hammocks, to shake and to rock in the night,
resting with peace of mind, thinking not their daily plight.

I call on each one of you, Oh! world citizen,
to share our human’s love among these decent citizen.
They have all the rights, to live, exist and be un-blemish
as humans to share our love and cause them not to perish.

They walked and they worked the surface of this universe,
as God equally created souls, like us, they must traverse.
without hindrance, they must persevere to heed,
because they were here first, as our fruitful seeds.

God will indeed rewarded us, for our good deeds,
when we acknowledged him as good harvest fields.
He would bless us, with much more worthy yields,
as to his only son, whom he had himself revealed.

Oh my God, where have you gone

Oh God the Almighty, where have you gone
come into this world to see what is going on
Come Oh my God, to see no more good but bad
come Oh heavenly father, I pray to you Oh God To be continued
