Indeed, evidence of nepotism can be found in ALL government offices. Poorly qualified (and unqualified) persons hold top positions. Their only qualification is a PPP membership card. There are many no-brainers .

The Customs probe MUST INCLUDE a thorough forensic audits into the fortunes of those officers who have been dismissed and interdicted.

Some of these guys own grande houses in Guyana and in the US (especially Florida), they drive expensive SUV’s- and some of them recently purchased some of the latest brands. They have hefty bank accounts and US Credit and Debit Cards.

Most certainly their fortunes are in the names of close relatives and friends and any forensic audits must include these aiders and abetters (close families and friends). Some have friends who own stores so that ill-gotten monies have been invested in these stores. (Isn’t this a type of money laundering?)

This Audit office investigation- though completed from one angle- must also now expand to include the other angles.

These parasites must feel the full force of the law lest the whole process of investigation be reduced to a mere charade which result in a few underlings facing the firing squad. Go after the Colossus’.

The audit must include those at the apex of the GRA- none of whom must be exempt from the probe.

For too long the Customs department has been churning out multi-millionaires in the form of customs officers who have been stealing from this nation.

Mr. President, the ball is in your court. Show us what you are made of. Do the required things to make us proud of you.

Jail the parasites and take away all their ill-gotten fortunes.

Let the US and Canadian authorities help you track the monies that these parasite stole from this poor country.

Go after the other businesses on Regent Street and elsewhere and customs officers who are also stealing from us.

Go after them NOW, Your Excellency, and bring this plague to an end.

Why is the president in everything don’t the country have an attorney general who oversees these investigation. It seems to me the president is an allrounder, whye do he have a cabinet.

……………….before reading the .Auditor General (ag), Deodat Sharma report on the polar bear………all should read clive thomas economic report…………after reading clive thomas report………..one will see there is no where this government is willing to clean up corruption from a far out in the villages to the corners of his office………..why the president don’t order a forensic audit on……………….business man roger kahan,………… the police department, ……………….,…………. the department of education, ……………………the department of agriculture,………….. the airport, ………………the health department…………….fidelity is just a drop in the guyana bucket ………as long as you are connected nothing ain’t going no where…………….nepotism has fractured the respect for the laws of guyana…..!!

It’s a pity the AG can’t be more forthcoming with details, but let’s hope this case is not reviewed with a view to covering up to save some people and punish others to give an appearanec that action has been taken.

Up to now the public does not know the details about the polygraph tests done on CANU officers that led to nine being fired. No evidence was made public of corruption of self-enrichment. No charges were laid. The President, acting like police, prosecutor and judge, simply fired the men after they fail to exaplain to him why the failed the lie detector tests. No one else in government was ever subjected to lie detector tests and justice seems to have been circumnavigated. Let’s have genuine justice in the Polar beer case, please!
