Commissioner Greene has a negative approach.The Force has a duty to investigate,and detect crime.What is the Crime Chief doing.I do not believe the public is asking for confidential information.The Public wants positive action.Not all crimes can be easily solved but Mr Greene and his Crime Chief have a duty to the Public.If they cannot stand the heat,get out of the kitchen.Charging people for stealing two green mangoes,says a lot about Mr Greene and his Crime Chief.Two green mangoes.

In any investigations, especially one this important, do you people honestly think the police will give out critical information?
My personal opinion is that, they already know who’s been using the phone as it is not hard to trace, but waiting for the right time to act.
As for making the # public, every Tom Dick and harry will be calling it if they do, which can hamper the investigation.
We’ll know the truth opne day.

Whoever has that phone,is in possession of stolen property,from the murdered man.Get the person,and they will have to explain how it came into their possession.Further it is not difficult to tract those calls.The phone company is duty bound to supply this information,once the appropriate course is followed.The owner of the phone and his work mates were murdered.

Certainly ordinary citizens like myself cannot fathom the statements of the coercive and intelligence arms of the state. Commonsense however, dictates that there are times that they would be able to reveal information, do spins, or just remain mum plain and simple.
What continuously I believe the general populace following these issue find aggravating and annoying by those making them on behalf of the state, To quote Mr Greene, as reported in the Stabroek News
“We have to get our hands on that number and be provided with more information so that we could do our verification and follow the matter up,” Greene told this newspaper.”
Amazing amazing..get the bloody number, be definitive, tell the public that the Crime Chief has pursued operational procedures, and we expect some response in lets say 24 hours….These bureaucratic types of answers gives us the ordinary smart citizens the perception that we really didn’t have to let you know this attitude. And you know what, quite unfairly the President and Cabinet is judged by these perceptions. If one simply re-read most of the negative comments on the functionality of the upper government functionaries it is the lack of providing information in a manner that gives hope, indicates action, and provides the basis for which we will get feedback. I hope those in authority find it appropriate to read these blogs and sinply don’t discard its meaningfulness in this day and age.

This number and all records of incoming and outgoing calls can be had in a flash. A flimsy excuse may come that a court order is necessary to get the information……. the courts are predictable a court order may take decades. . The men are dead and the answer is in that very call log as to the calls made and recieved. In the event that there is stalling as we see already the lawyer should release publicy all details of calls on this phone i am positive that he has that information.

Yes, indeed Evileyes. Brilliant lawyer…Guyana’s best. Hughes’ client instructed him to write to the commissioner of police and overlooked the most basic of info – the phone #. Hughes, you think the poilce has a crystal ball. Very frustration for the police!!! Very stupid, Leonard and Hughes. Is this another distraction for the police???

You don,t have to provide more info than what the lawyer did,Greene has the number used go to the phone company collect the records find the ara where the suspect lives and monitor him or her then pounce,when you have all evidence.

Nigel Hughes is one of the best lawyers in Guyana. I don’t think he would have sent a letter without the telephone number. Even if he did, why didn”t Green reply asking for the number?

It comes to mind that if one were to write a letter giving information about a phone the number would be prominent in that letter.

I feel the gpf needs to investigate this matter,and trace these calls emmanating from linden, and please do it in a proffesional way as not to harass innocent people.
