the criminal police force in this country is very unfair.My cousin who is a little unstable in his mind was found with three live rounds, thirty toy guns along with forty rotten nonis and three bags of monopoly money and was sentenced to five years in prison , the police did nothing on his behalf when they give the statement in court knowing that he was not in a stable mental state. Was it because we didn,t pay them off he was sent to prison,now the persons held in the regent street affair was granted station bail the matter was not even taken to court what sort of justice is that

i’m naat arguing but if de girl is 16yrs ole an it is aledged that she some how connect closely to one of these men i am asking why it is illegal to have her in custody fu ?ing watch this one now if a 14or 15yrs ole by rape a 25yrs old woman or say e kill a nada 15yrs is it that he is too young to face the la 2? so de blogger wa say she 2 young let me hear wat u hav to say but na kill me.

What is the age of accountability in GT? At sixteen, some ‘girls’ already have a kid or two. Teen marriages, live-in relationships etc makes them women who can be treated as such by the police.

I know, we r so far away and cannot do much but blogg, Guyanese shoud call 4 the resignation of all those unproductive ministers, all the big fishes, some Guyanese r building very expensive homes, is a check made on their finances in the bank/s to ascertain how they came about them,? big stores, hotels, fancy and expensive cars, no wonder the small fishes turns to be mules, and when caught r left to face the music, they also r bad stupid, fast cash, unconcern of lives, they would kill in a flash, without thinking, no school programs, national services, free trade schools, they turn to a life of crimes, parent/s working or on the streets themselves doing drugs u name them, the Country is gone to the dogs, shameful for other countries who has no knowledge of what Guyana was before, to wash their mouths on us,we have become a washcloth, because of the Government and parents.

Monkey see, monkey do, children r see and hearing police, using guns to robb citizens, magistrate using unlicensed gun to shoot cop, cops stopping decent citizens for a topoff, harrassing others for a makeup of salary, what else does the Government thinks these kids would do?, only those parent/s who r really trying and the kids who wants to make a better life for themselves would refrain from crimes, not all kids in Guyana r terrible, we have some well adjusted kids, who r doing well at schools and have moved on to college to become better citizens, these are doers, the followers of bad company turns to crimes, the younger ones can still be saved from a life of crimes, if the Government and parent/s work together, if not, the future generstions are doomed.

Yes!, we all know that Guyanese women r very curious and fast, a barrel would not be there without their knowledge, if one woman knew, all of them knew, they should not have been placed on station bail and allowed to return, that’s giving them time together, to sort the story out, if it was a man, he would have been locked up, women cry out for equality, they should have the same as men, lock them up, until someone of them sing, I’m a woman and not afraid to say the latter, some women thinks that because of their gender, they should receive a different handling, if they are involved in a crime, they should face the same fate, what a shame, shame to call them my country women.

It’s illegal for an underage child be arrested, taken away also her phone taken ,and questioned by anyone, without the parent/s knowledge, worst for the police who r supposed to be knowledgeable of the laws to act in such a manner, (if this teen is really 16 yrs old,) if so, the police has to be really nuts, bloggers, what do u think of this.?

Come on GDF/GPF/GoG we need to get to the bottom of this fiasco. Lives are being lost every minute to gunplay – innocent or otherwise – and visitors and tourists are wisely keeping their distance. Gunmen are rampant in the very “interior” where these guys are conducting “business”. Am I the only one making this obvious connection??? Question these miscreants closely, or hand them over to the US or Interpol or whomever has the guts to handle them. Why is the notorious Trini still in Guyana? Even if it is true that multi-businessman Clayton Hutson was in the ‘bush’ at the time of the wanted bulletins, I guarantee you that he has continuous mobile phone connections with Georgetown so it is clear his statement that he did not know the forces were hunting him is extremely suspect!
