my condolences to the family. cemion was a student of mine, he will surely be missed. his uncle was always there for him, very supportive and worked well with the school. he was definitely trying to help his nephew and did seem like a father to cemion. I am still in shock this is so sad that both lives are gone in such a tragic way. my heart and prayers go out to the family.

This is shocking news. People need to know that a smoke/fire alarm is important in a home or an apartment building, and must be in working condition.Batteries should be changed once a year to maintain such a condition.

Thanks To the Funeral Home that offered to do this to help our country man. We need to find a solution , so we can act together, and fast, in times like this. God is watching. Condolences to the family. SN i am in with Cheryl, Jagdesh and Owen; please post a telephone #, e-mail address or even a Bank’s Address that one can call to deposit funds. The Hatian, the Africans and all others stick together, so why dont we fellow Guyanese do the same. In this life you never know when you might need a helping hand.

Everyone —- it was offered by a funeral home in Brooklyn that they would pay for the funeral expenses.

Shawn was a kind person (yea I knew him), even though he always spoke his mind while some looking in from outside thought he was quiet… Cemion will also be missed dearly.

Shawn will surely be missed.

Back to the inquiry at hand — I will post another blog once I go to the wake they are having tomorrow (Wednesday) in Brooklyn…. I do not want to provide his father’s or Uncle’s information via this blog since I didn’t obtain prior permission….

I’ll be in touch soon.

Dear Editor, I write again to express my sympathy to the serviving love ones, except this time from my family and I. We are very sorry for the lost of these two precious lives. More so, because they were Guyanese too and so young. May their souls rest in peace and God forgive them all their sin and transgression.
