The sighns of the times is telling us why these things are happening, the question often asked is, what is happening to Guyana? or what ever other place! this is the time that was spoken of in God’s word the bible as the critical times hard to deal with . 2Tim.3rd.chapter 1-5 explains it quite clearly for us. in the bible we are also told that the earth (not only Guyana will ! experience turblant times) 1st. Peter 5:8. tells us our adversary the Devil is walking about like a hungry lion seeking to devour (someone) So at this poin in time I personally do not think any form of Man’s punishment will matter much, since God cannot lie and he said all these things must take place before the end comes, and we are at the threshold of thim period.

My dear friend, I know how you must feel about what you have learnt in the past from your parents and I respect that. But history has proved that some people who had stubbornly believed some doctrine or other thing in the past have had to change their minds, and sometimes very reluctantly, case in point- some men believed that the world was flat, but time had proved otherwise, and I could tell you of many more. You can be reluctant all you want to believe something, but before you make a decision about the thoughts of someone else’s idea I think it would be worth the while if you sit down and ponder them first.

My dear friend, the statement “Blessed are the peace makers” is a part of Mat 5 : 9. It is not talking about someone who is trying to prevent a confrontation or something like that, It is talking about those true believers who preach the word of God. those are the peace makers.

Blessed r the peace makers, I had it , it’s too much, seems as though u cannot even try to parta a disagreement any longer, I was wondering if the one who stabbed this young father was on any drugs?, seems as though people r really hot tempered now, the slightest arguement turns to killing.

I have also took notice that many persons are killed after attending a wake, same happened to the young 26 yr old, I noticed that their was a killing in that same area, then the wake now him, I don’t like going to wakes and leave late at nights, it’s like death follows others, just a thought of mine, bie, me gan keep from dem wakes late at nite, me nah go late wakes no mo. learnt to speak the Guyanese old time talk from my dad lol, trying with it, God rest his soul, children r always the ones to punish, these killers don’t think of the kids.

Per murders for every 100,000 population it’s:
No .1 – Jamaica
No. 2 – Trinidad
No. 3 – Guyana

But these rates are still much higher than First World murder rates.

This seem to be the order of the day in Guyana. The human life has “no value” anymore…it can just be taken by anyone at anytime for any reason.

It’s the price every society pays for freedom but not any freedom, it’s the kind we misinterpret it to be. An illustration of this is freedom of speech. So also are freedom of the press and freedom of assembly. When we look at how we in Guyana interpret these “freedoms” we’ll see the dangers. Freedom has a way of shooting itself in the foot. Ultimate freedom does not exist. Freedom is always tempered by the rights of others, society in general, etc. One cannot claim freedom at the expense of another person.

I feel so exhausted from offering sympathies. Everyday someone is violently and senselessly killed. I hope they find this one soon or he might report to the station with a lawyer saying crap on his behalf.

Wah happen to a good old “fist fight”, not that’s the correct method of resolving problems either, everyone seems to be resorting to weapons, guns, knives, cutlasses…etc as a resolution for dealing with their disagreements. This is a sad, sad, sad, situation and certainly something needs to be done to address these social issues – maybe arguer management.

The death penality does not deter crime, a prime example is the u.s.a who have the death penality and crime and killing still continues, even in ny where we have the death penality dangerous still continues, and also legal rangaling keeps them on death row for years, and tax payers money are wasted.

Lesson learn — don’t be the hero — unless it is absolutely safe that you would come out of it alive . This could have been avoided if Mr. Allen did not intervene. This crime has nothing to do with the death penalty. This was not a premeditated act. Cool heads and reasoning did not prevail. He was not the intended victim — unfortunately, he became the victim.

I SUPPORT THE DEATH PENALTY especially in cases like this. As long as evidence is convincing that the perpetrators have no positive contributions to civil society, lethally inject, hang or electrocute them.
With regards to freespeech I recommend that cars be registered & tagged in such a manner that detecting their region of origin be made known. For heavily populated regions the tags could also identify the district of the owner. WE NEED proper records, computer database & interconnections (networking). It is IMPOSSIBLE to swallow that with all the technological advances, computer businesses in Guyana & available skills that we are still so BACKWARD when it comes to these things.
