This is a very sad issue. Guyana used to be a place we wer all proud of. It is the youths who are supposed to make the change, however when they attempt to do so their life if cut down in its prime. This is unacceptable. If this is the reason why this young woman died then the Guyanese who are guilty of the crime need to be dealt with. Youths are the ones who must make a change they need to have the empowerment and the life span to make the change. Shame on those who (according to news) orchestrated this killing. My prayers go out to the family.

One course of justice for the suspects if found guilty. Death by hanging. Both for the shooter and his accomplice.The accomplice to be hanged for failing to report a homicide,and being an accomplice to a pre meditated murder .

I got a surprised call from a distant a family member who echoed
the words of the father…there is something amiss.

As GTGIRL stated above ” I think an investigation need to be started from her job”.;;and that I hope the police would do immediately.

So cops if you are reading thsi, start with her JOB RIGHT NOW
and the cases she was working on

Whoever is the killer, if that person has good connections with the Police and the PPP, they will never be tried. You have to live in Guyana to know what is going on. The police favourite words to dismiss a case are ” No Evidence”, ” We are still continuing our investigations”. We have been hearing this since Monica Reece got killed. Even if eye witnesses knows who the killer is, they would be afraid to inform the police, remember the George Bacchus ussue?
Some of these criminals are useful to the police and the Government for doing their dirty jobs when required.

I had identified the head of a criminal enterprise in the Georegtown/Kitty area who is responsible for a series of robberies and killings but the police said they need evidence. Circumstantial evidence were provided but it appears that the police wants the criminals to leave their ID card after a crime.

It is hardly you can ever get justice in a corrupt society unless you take the law into your own hands.

I think an investigation need to be started from her job. Someone at her job knows more about this and probably gave leads to her whereabouts and her address. We try to bring our kids up the right way, good education, good manners, good job and this is the result?…uummh, someone envied her and the hit man is dumb hope he reveals is paymaster soon. Evil eye I do not have a problem with you however I have a problem when I think of what will be the out come of the investigation in to this poor kid .

Already know the result just like all the other murders that has gone unsolved this one too will go down as being unsolved by an incompentent Police Force .

Well I do hope that the person they held is the right person, or was involve in committing the senseless murder, not someone who would be frame , or setup as the fall guy this happened A lot in Guyana because of association with the wrong group of people , and then the crime go unsolve in every country the police have contact on the streets who could tell them who did what , and why it was done is Guyana in another world come on Mr Commissioner train your officers so that they can get out there and solve some murders so that the law abiding Guyanese can have some hope it break my heart as A fellow Guyanese to read ever so offten of the senceless killings of our future , [the youths] whats up with this one people, one nation motto we talk about if we continue like this we will have several destinies. In the circumstances I doubt the sister was able to see the shooter’s or his cohert’s face. Any good lawyer would bore holes in her testimony in relation to correct identity. Like other bloggers said, she needs to protected because the senseless killer may think she recognises him & subsequently target her. My condolence to the grieving family. Grill d guy & squeeze every iota of evidence out of him. He must reveal his bossman who hired him.
