SandHurst First:

Thanks for the invitation to return to Guyana but I must respectfully decline.. To return would mean that I may have to sever ties with my wife of over 40 years as she, a Guyanese of East Indian extract, has indicated to me on many occasions (as recent as last night) that if I ever returned to Guyana permanently I would be doing so alone. I have no desire to leave the love of my life, and by extension my children, specially now that I am in the twilight of my existence.

I will, therefore, remain at arms length and provide whatever advice I can via this media and hope that it inspires the younger Guyanese generation to come together for the betterment of the country and to do whatever it legally takes to rid it (the country ) of the two political parties that have equal shares in the way that the population is now polarized.

malaika well put, that is why i took a break from blogging same thing all the
time but i hope the american election with barack obama would enlighten the
ppp supporters here in the usa and canada and just maybe their mind would
be able to accept a good human being who have the capability to govern a
country with an agenda for all the people , look at the trini’s they have the ability
to kick out a corrupt govt. and vote in someone who they think can put their
country on the right track and if he dont deliver he is out like south and replace

and Rejoice/applaud/jubilate when Innocent Kids and hard working Men and Women, are mercilessly massacared/snuffed of existance, by those infamous criminals..

What sense of relief is Mr. Rohee talking about?
The Agricola resident who was beheaded was a known drug dealer and robberman that caused many whoes in his village and afar. The Joint services did nothing about this, probably because they were getting paid to ignore this!
Why did the government allow all of these killings; LUSIGNAN, BARTICA, AGRICOLA AND CHRISTMAS FALLS, when from the inception they have in their possession the sophisticated spy equipment that belong to their friend ROGER KHAN, or does it really belong to ROGER KHAN, could have been used to find these alleged killers?
How come ‘fine man’ was killed and there was no evidence of the artillery he was poported to have t his disposal found?
Why can’t we as a nation accept that the PPP government has been a failure and will continue to fail our nation?
Why don’t those who speak of democracy and freedom in Guyana lift their heads out of the sand and see the realities the nation is faced with on a daily basis; that is how the PPP runs the country, on a daily basis?
Please could someone tell me?

I have no problem with the House passing a motion lauding the Joint Services fir ebding the reign of Fineman and his gang, but how come the House didn’t pass a motion lauding the chase and capture of Guyana’s alleged notorious drug baron and murder conspirator, Roger Khan?

You see the hypocrisy here?

That’s some million dollar question that has to be answered, Torbo.
Do you think that a few of the excellent blogs that we see hear periodically, will or can help shape public policy or even cause some to “think outside the box”? It boggles the mind that reasonable, intelligent people can get along in the simple areas of life and then just out of the blue, they seem to take leave of their senses.

Guyanese, like any other citizen of this earth, have to realise the “power” they wield to make their own lives better and more meaningful. While politics impact on that quality of life we live each day, it doesn’t mean that we have to look to our politicians for ALL THE SOLUTIONS.

Take for instance something as innocuos as that dump matter in Lodge. If the residents decided to engage in some civic disobedience, like forming human chains across the dump entrance, daring the dump truck drivers to run over them, you bet they (truck drivers) would want to do that.

Shoddy service at our public and private hospitals resulting in unwarranted deaths and a myriad of other societal problems citizens can be proactive and don’t have to await the intervention of neither the Administration, nor the Opposition.

My opinion is that, bottom line, the majority of our people have lost their moral compass and those who still possess it are too scared raise their voices.

Torbo, Guyana needs a MESSIAH, NOW!!!!!!!!!!

What are you celebrating and why are you saying that the people are secure ?
I guess that Pharrot Bagdeo and Climate Dohee have lost their minds and are talking a lot of foolishness. I am aware that I change their names fellow bloggers but I think that the name change suits them very well, because what they are doing is stupid. If an increase in their salary will help them to do their jobs to the best of their ability, I would agree with that but giving them money for killing fineman and skinny oh no, they are being paid to Protect the citizens and to do a job that is required to take lives if it comes to that. i know that a few people would not agree with me in saying that but that is the job of a policeman so it is what it is.

Its really mind bogling to see the extent to which this administration shows its thoughtless-ness.
Here they are celebrating the the death of “fineman” when every single day people dying in their numbers

Now is the time for them to put all their energies into finding a way to stop this continual bloodshed not to be celebrating when things are not any better where crime is concerned.
But this happens when you cant see further than your nose .

you know its getting redundant on this blog site no offence to stab/news you did a great job of creating this blog site for us guyanese to communicate from
different parts of the world, but the problem is that the same thing is said over and over with the same bloggers, if we start blogging about x/mas it always end up with racial comments everything is race there is no common ground between
the two major races, the only time i see a little agreement between africans and
indians is about suriname WHY?

Why rejoice when a life is lost, taken away or snuffled out by the joint services? Is the government encouraging the joint services to kill anyone which they have deem criminals especially their brothers? No one knows whether or not Mr. Rallins was at any of the crime scenes and was involved in all of the crimes which the police said he was responsible for, there are no videos evidence, no witnesses or anything to prove these claims.Ballistics tests have always proved (according) to the police that fineman was responsible for every crime (what nonsense). Rallins had ample time to get a video camera and record something so that the public could have known whats really going on. Now we are all clueless, on judgement day nuff people are gonna cry.
