The People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) extends best wishes to our Hindu brothers and sisters and the people of Guyana as we observe yet another Diwali.
According to the PNCR this year’s observance of the festival of lights is occurring when there is a clear need for peace, understanding and stability in our nation. The idea of goodness triumphing over evil, the belief associated with Diwali, carries a powerful message for all Guyanese it said in a message issued yesterday.
The party said that in light of this it will join with the Hindu community and the rest of nation as they celebrate Diwali.
We need to extend this festive occasion of peace, of light over darkness, so that it encompasses all our daily lives. We need to extend it outwards so that it manifests itself into peace and prosperity.
Humanity, need only two things- Compassion and Sharing. everything else will fall into place.

if this party is dissolved there will be plenty of peace. come on african brothers and sisters, start a new party without any of the old folks that is associate with the burnhamite mentality especially their present leader.
Actually I recommend a GUYANESE party, like a PEOPLE’s Revolutionary Movement or a PEOPLE’s Revolutionary Front which includes all those with the potential & heart to truly lead OUR country in UNISON, regardless of colour or race. As an agriculturist I’ve learnt that plants make food from crap. We could learn from the crappings of the others & come up with something VERY FRUITFUL for ALL GUYANESE.
…and there will be PEACE when you stop judging the present and future by the alleged acts of the past, which the young people of Guyana are in no position to confirm or deny. We are tired of the older folks’ attempts to form decisions for us…LEAVE US ALONE YOU FOSSIL.
`come on african brothers and sisters’? are you referring to the pncr? i did’nt know that this party had only aficans in it, and if you’re going to mention burnham ,then you you must include jagan as well the two goes hand in hand, because the whole thing started with these two guys. and guyana yearns for a party that would evisioned the politics of issues that affects guyanese and not the politics of race.
It is because of people with your small level of thinking makes Guyana the nation it has become my question to you, is how different is this government from the PNC,and remember that the PNC was concieved from a man who was a former PPP member. Another thing that you should do is consult with your states congressman or senator get a petition asking them to pass a motion making Diwali EDul Fitar ect legal holidays,it is the sam Burnhamite that made that possible so stop ridiculing and give thanks.

I know about that I grew up in that let me see what you have done and are planning to do improve the country I want to return before I am too old but I don’t see that happening in my time .

The Nation really needs Peace, but after Hatred was propagated for 28 years it might take a long time for PEACE to return!!!

onelove…I do not know which party keep saying slow fire and mo fire,all I can say to you is that words are wind,and you do not know who on this site are with whichever party you are talking about..stop your aggression against people who you know nothing about,most of us here don’t live in Guyana,we have not done for years and years,I would suggest you go to Guyana and if you have the guts(which I suspect you don’t)and look for the people that you have a problem with,and point your finger in their face,and behave the way you are with us on this peacful site. I excuse you though,because I understand that most of you who behave like that are driven by fear..where you are there in the US,there are many places where you can train is things like unarmed combat,and different ways to learn to defend yourself,and once you do that you will see how all that fear you feel will go away,and so will a lot of the anger!!
