Torbo, my family was never supportor of the PPP since I come from a business family. PPP is communist (in another blog I did stated that both PPP and PNC are communist) and we all can agree with that. The only reason why today I will support the PPP is that the PNC became to obsess with race politics-I am not saying PPP is not but PPP is the best of the two evils, AFC is a total dissapointment. Back to the main point, torture is a relative term, you live in the US and smart enough to understand that sometimes government must do things that are not kosher to get resolution of issues. Look I don’t support beating up innocent guys in lock-ups but many times law enforcement know when someone is innocent or a career criminal. You must go after the career criminals for I will not sit here and support career criminals human rights. We must stop see things through the lens of race and political affiliation only and only then Guyana will move forward.

Sandhurst –these measures are necessary to “extract information ” –they do it all over the world (yes in the US ,England ,Canada ) –but it is not published , and Human Rights either do not know or turn a blind eye . Besides these thugs deserve it since they show no mercy on their victims . The Pnc also have a worst track record when they were in power –but no one said a word out of fear .

The police can only do so much. Things have to be taken one step at a time. Guyana is still a Third World nation, with a legacy of illegal rule towards destruction.With criminals outnumbering the police,the government is doing a good job ” roughing up,” in light of the criminal situation. Get used to it PNC sympathyzers of the FEED, CLOTHE, AND HOUSE THE NATION BY 1976 haullicination,because you might be out there in the cold for a long time.Half a loaf is better than none. Accept the roughing up as a part of the fight against crime and find something useful to say or do to contribute meaningfully to Guyana.
