A man who was allegedly found with a quantity of cannabis was remanded to prison yesterday when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Randy Henry pleaded not guilty to the charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
It is alleged that on October 30, in Essequibo, Henry was found with 250 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
The magistrate later ordered that Henry be remanded to prison and transferred the case to the Bartica Magistrate’s Court for November 25.
