A rice farmer of Cotton Tree, Berbice has filed a private criminal charge of attempted murder at the New Amsterdam Court against Land Court Judge Kumar Doraisami.
The farmer, Manzoor Ally-Khan, swore before Magistrate Geeta Chandan Persid-Edmond last Friday that on October 31 last at the Annex Land Court entrance Justice Doraisami drove his motorcar into his path and attempted to kill him. Ally-Khan is scheduled to return to court next Friday when the charges would be read to Justice Doraisami.
