CARICOM General Insurance (formerly known as GUYFLAG) are masters of obfuscation. At the time the scandal broke David de Caires remarked to me that if there was a policy (written by GUYFLAG) then they were implicated.

However no case was brought against GUYFLAG because no policy could be produced. Fast forward four years to Mr Soares’s recent testimony…and it turns out there was policy all along.

Now that the Policy has turned up, it is CARICOM Insurance who should be in the dock.

By the way, anyone heard the latest about the case of the Office of the President employees who stole millions of dollars from the President’s Christmas fund for depressed communities in Georgetown? That money was actually stolen from inside OP! Talk about brazenness!

And has anyone heard the latest about the Polar Beers case?

And what about the Guysuco misappropriations of funds investigations?

And the President had the nerve to do polygraph tests for nine CANU officers and fired them for failing the tests instead of them being found guilty of corruption as per any kind of evidence sustainable in a court of law!

Look, Guyana is a sticky mess, regardless of what PPP apologists say about Burnham and Hoyte. The PPP government has nor moral authority to talk about the corrupt PNC, because since Cheddi Jagan died, the PPP has become the reincarnation of the PNC (and the PNC has become the reincarnation of the PPP: DOCILE and IMPOTENT!)

It is almost the end of the year 2008 and it has been some four years since these charges were laid. When will it conclude?

This only happens in third world country as Guyana, where the judicary does not function effectively and does not hear cases on a timely basis. Is it not time for the Chancellor of the Judicary to have parliament enact legislation for cases, all cases to be heard on a timely basis.

We are constant reminded that the justice system in Guyana is causing many concerns and questions about its fairness to the public.
The justice system is supposed to be involved in the determination of rights and the assignment of rewards and punishments. Not a system that determines what to do depending on who knows who. It should be free and fair.

This is absurd just reading it.
As a practising Catholic I see this as a blatant disregard for justice.
Why call Bishop Singh when he is no longer the Bishop of the Catholic Community here in Guyana?

I say to the Cathiloc community, come out and speak your mind and be heard. This is fraud. If indeed the Sacred Heart Church was insured by Guyflag, who were the beneficiaries of the policy.
Unfortunately, I heard no mention of this even though this has the attention of so many who are concerned.
These people will go free judging from what I read above.

Special prosecutors are only used against people who the govt view as intolerant of the PPP party …Mark Benschop……….Oliver Hinckson etc….this perp is gonna walk free.
