Major buyers in Europe should know about the substance abuse in Guyana, and the policies of DDL and DIH, so they can make sure the rum producers of Guyana are good corporate citizens. The same thing with domestic violence, and with our 3000+ daily visitors to our networks, we would leave no stone unturned in making the plight of our suffering Guyanese brothers and sisters be known.
"Dem backside sit down doing nothing fuh too long".
Thank to SN. The little links have been making a big difference at our end.

When Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) announced its willingness to partner the government in initiatives to address alcohol abuse, it is simply executing a damage-limitations exercise and most people are not fooled by this which is just a PUBLIC RELATIONS STUNT.

Alcohol abuse is an important factor prevalent in the products which DDL sells. DDL therefore has a moral obligation to educate the public not to abuse its products.

MONEY SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN DIRECTLY TO THE GUYANA GOVERNMENT BUT SHOULD BE SPENT DIRECTLY BY DDL TO FINANCE:…

TV and Radio advertisements which should graphically explain to drinkers how:
THEY THINK they behave after a session of excessive drinking and how
THE GENERAL PUBLIC THINK they behave after a session of excessive drinking.

Poster campaigns should be carried out in all places of alcohol consumption and even in Secondary Schools too.
