A 24-year-old Guyanese man was held at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport yesterday morning after three kilogrammes of cocaine was discovered under a fibre-glass panel in his suitcase.
According to reports, the man was travelling to Barbados when he was intercepted by CANU officials who searched his suitcase.
A section of the man’s suitcase, which was partitioned by fibre-glass, a Capitol News report said, and beneath the fibre-glass covering the stated amount of illegal substance was discovered.
Further, the news report said that the man’s movements were being monitored by the law enforcement officials for some time. He is in custody.
Lack he up and throw away the keys, start giving the mules life in prison and i bet no other “donkey” will wanna carry other people’s drugs.
This mule was fingered by a tout,,,,they just did not catch him like that,,,,someone snitched him out, probably a rival mule, and buttening them down will not stop the flow of traffic, look at Columbia in the 1990’s same thing. What is needed is proper detection equipment in cooperation with drug sniffing dogs and publicity of this operation on the media as a deterrent .
Guyanese like “this man”, is portraying negativity to the Guyanese populace, causing decent and hard working Guyanese to be harassed and deported from CARICOM member states, especially from Barbados and Trinidad. He should be a lost soul in the Brickdam lock-up or be faced with some “touching-up” while in police custody.

This problem is far bigger than what you imagine,,,there are people in this life who will take a 5-10 yr in exchange for $50 Million and a good life for their family, what else they got to lose,,,I used to see them everyday, where their family would put big money in their commissary accounts, they run their businesses from behind bars and they receive visits come rain or shine every visiting day,from every baby momma, and some of them have conjugal visits, so life is good and they stay active and exercise and eat well and come out to live rich.
